This hearth panel was designed for an island home in Penobscot Bay Maine. It nestles into a recess left in the hearth stone face above the granite mantel shelf. There are fresh and saltwater marsh habitats near the home and the bird life is prolific. The historical herring fishery on the island lead the way during the design process to this fine art, although whimsical result. All of these fish eaters are found within a stone's throw of the home.
