The Helical box is a unique symmetrical design that pivots around a brass rod. The 14 compartments are lined with genuine recycled Ultrasuede. Abalone shell diamond-shaped inlays are used to enhance the beauty of the tops. Two secret compartments are located underneath the top and are held in place … by rare-earth magnets. These boxes are finely finished using 1 coat of blonde flake-shellac followed by 2 coats of lacquer, then hand polished with steel wool and English paste wax (it's more work to polish, but the boxes look and feel so good afterwards that I can't resist the extra effort). The resulting finish brings out the natural beauty of the woods and is extremely smooth and durable. The Helical box makes a perfect ring box, earring box, or presentation box for any small collectible.
