This is the original inspiration for CoveStone; this was installed in our home when it was built in 1926. 6" x 36' cast in plaster of Paris (" euro-plaster") with burlap imbedded in the back, attached to the wall with gobs of wet plaster. Has not cracked or moved in 85 years ( and at least 2 earth quakes). So this is how i do my Cottage Gallery Designs!
A simple 3 foot repeating rose design installed seamlessly. I would love to know something about it's origin. Has anybody seen this or something similar from the early 1900's?
Anyway this is what gave me the idea
Dimensions
The small size is 3" x 25", the large size is 5"x 36" and it is interesting how this can fool the eye with the large one upstairs with the tall ceilings and the small design in the low ceilinged basement, this really works!
Shipping informationThis must be negotiated until i figure out a better and lighter crate to make these things ship better, now the double crate method i use works good but is kind of heavy.
