This is the original inspiration for CoveStone; this was installed in our home when it was built in 1926. 6" x 36' cast in plaster of Paris (" euro-plaster") with burlap imbedded in the back, attached to the wall with gobs of wet plaster. Has not cracked or moved in 85 years ( and at least 2 earth … quakes). So this is how i do my Cottage Gallery Designs!
A simple 3 foot repeating rose design installed seamlessly. I would love to know something about it's origin. Has anybody seen this or something similar from the early 1900's?
