"The Weight" is the first of a series of sculptures depicting paradox. The character in "the Weight" finds him or herself in a predicament where it seems that the whole world is held together by holding on to a mysterious bag down among the primordial shadow world. The holding on is distorting the body, and can't go on much longer, but all the features of the surface world are supported by that holding on, and will fall if the bag is dropped.
