"TO HOLD" is a freestanding wood sculpture, 36" x 18" x 70"—the fourth in a series of illustrated paradoxes. The figures perch precariously, holding on for dear life to each other, against mysterious cords that threaten to pull them loose. The piece is constructed of salvaged douglas fir, walnut, curly willow sticks, and cord.
