Mouth-blown ("antique") German glass was the perfect choice of material to meet these customers' request for a bathroom window to provide privacy while allowing a view to the outside. The view was not only for human beings who used the tub-and-shower, but also for their beloved cat whose favorite … perch was a ledge above the tub, at the base of the window. The lower central part of the window provides the most visibility--right where kitty sits--yet the striated glass obscures the view to anyone more than a few feet away. In addition to the visibility/obscurity challenge, the owners' orange and brown color scheme inspired the design: a line of trees in an autumn palette.
