These standard twin sized trundle beds were recently made for a growing local family. They came to me with a general description of what they were looking for, and through a few correspondences, and a couple weeks, this is what we came up with.

The trundle sections can easily roll out on … casters, and so can be moved freely within the room. They also are built for two real twin sized mattresses each, not a "trundle size" for underneath.

The general construction for the headboard and footboards are mortise and tenon, and the panels are all solid beaded (grooved) pine.

Each bed can be easily disassembled into managable components and put back together with basic tools, so it can be put together in practically any bedroom.

These were made of solid local pine and painted with a latex semi-gloss shade of white, but other woods and/or finishes are also available.
