This is a high fired porcelain bowl. It is comprised of two thrown bowls that have been cut and fitted together. Because it has been fired to 1300C, it is very hard and chip resistant. It is glazed with a foodsafe glaze and can be used in the microwave and cleaned in the dishwasher. It would work well with chips and dip, condiments, appetizers, and olives and pickles etc. The two part bowl measures 10 1/2" x 7" x 2 1/2"
