An oak sapling, about 20 feet high, that we had to take down was too attractive to simply discard, so I dried it for a year, then cut it down the middle,preserving the irregular curves of the trunk and setting them off against the rest of the material, which is all walnut.

Allan Parachini built me 2 custom alder kitchen tables of the exact right size & shape that I ordered (I could not find this in any stores). He finished the job ahead of schedule and charged a very reasonable & fair price. The work done was of high quality and the tables are stable and look beautiful. He was extremely pleasant & easy to work with. He communicated with me frequently concerning both the design and the construction of the tables.
