This Black Walnut desk was made from a tree that came down in a storm here in central Texas. Frank Strazza an instructor here at our school (heritage woodschool.com) built the desk. The Holly and Ebony string inlays are all hand cut along with the sand shaded fans in the corners, Ebony trim … frames the figured panels while the Burled walnut book matched top pairs with the book matched drawer fronts, hand cut half blind dovetails, and mortice and tenon joinery will last for a lifetime, a secret compartment finishes the piece with a secure place to store valuables.
