Wedding Gown Conversion To Christening Gnown

This exquisite ivory lace and heavily beaded wedding gown was transformed into a spectacular family heirloom.

I used the train as the main focal point for the dress skirt while using other beaded areas for the bodice, sleeves, bonnet, bib and wrap.

I inserted a plain satin panel, from the dress' satin underskirt, in the center front and then adorned it with some of the embroidered and beaded motifs (which I hand stitched) that I meticulously cut from scraps of the unused lace areas. For the sleeve bindings I used the heavily beaded spaghetti straps from the gown bodice.

There was a bonnet made from the heavily beaded areas of the bodice and well as a bib.

The purchase price includes all the above plus the slip with personalized embroideries.

This gown lent itself to one of my favorite projects!

Remarks from my customer upon receipt of the dress and accessories:
Just received the package! Everything is beautiful and beyond what I had imagined. I love all the details and the slip is just absolutely amazing!!!
Thank you again for all of your care and attention to this project for me - it means the world to me what you have put together for my family.
