The Weston Sectional was a custom made three piece sectional that was designed to fit a space surrounded with glass to bring more natural light into the home and be closer to nature.

I began construction of the Weston Sectional in my woodworking shop, were I use native Maine kiln-dried hardwood (maple, birch or red oak) to make the frames, which I double-dowel and corner-block for maximum strength.

Then the frames went to the upholstery shop where I installed the 8-way hand-tied the coil springs to give maximum comfort and provide long-lasting support. Next I padded the frame using quality materials to give years of support and comfort over the life of the sectional. Then I carefully upholstered each piece, and finally I made the seat and back cushions. I used luxurious down and foam cushions in the seat and feather cushions in the back which gave the sectional a cozy feeling you could really sink into.

In my experience, it is rare to find an upholsterer who also has a complete wood frame-building shop on-site and that gave me confidence in the integrity of the work and in Ashley's ability to finish on schedule.
