This chair, made of solid Eucalyptus and Wenge with cross-doweled mortise and tenon joinery, is as comfortable as it is sturdy. The seat, lumbar and scapular pads are upholstered in soft leather. The deep lumbar and scapular pads, attached via Velcro for ease of reupholstering, support the back, … prevent unpleasant contact of bone and wood, and, unlike a fully padded back, allow air to circulate. The arms are broad enough, cupped, and angled to make one's arms feel at home. This chair suggests good posture but is equally comfortable in a slouched position.
