About this item
Approximately $1,500 - $3,000
This box is made from lysiloma, aka wild tamarind, and rosewood, both salvaged from trees downed in south Florida by Hurricane Wilma. This is one of a series I call "Halfmoon Boxes", in profile they are semicircular.
Like most of the Halfmoon boxes, Wilma's ghost has five drawers. Each is sized to fit the contours of the body. The drawers near the center are longer that those towards the top or bottom. The drawer sides are made of Spanish cedar, so you get that nice aroma each time one is opened. The drawers runs on dovetail slides. This allows them to open smoothly without tipping or titling. $3000.
