Windfall 1 I live in eagle country, with several pair of Bald Eagles nesting in the lake country close by. This quarter-scale sculpture demanded release from a windfall red oak crotch in a great limb of a massive tree back in the forest off my back yard. I find it satisfying to be able to take wood otherwise destined to rot or burn and to form it into something so expressive of the environment from which it came. Each such limb holds a unique image waiting to be discovered.
