This wine cabinet was custom designed and made for a wedding gift.
It features cutouts for 14 standard bottles, and several hand cut mouldings to hang all of the necessary wine and specialty glasses.
The doors feature quality hinges and pulls, along with a glass panel. The bottle shelves are mortised through and are exposed on the outside of the cabinet, adding to its character.
The top is at a perfect height for pouring a glass, and holding whatever else you may need.
The red oak used in this piece was ebonized and polyurethaned, leaving it black, but with the grain still textured and visible.
Other species could be used.
