10 String Guitar

This guitar was built to play high renaissance music from around 1580 to 1620 including Dowland. This guitar was made for a Master Guitarist and lutenist. He wanted to play the music for ten course lute on a guitar. We kicked this idea around for a while before I started the project and came up with the combination of cypress back and sides and a lovely sitka spruce top. We went with a longer scale of 66cm. This guitar surpassed expectations to our delight. The clarity and separation of voices needed for this repertoire didn't disappoint and I can't begin to describe the resonance.

Dimensions: Scale of 66cm. The body is the same size as my Classical Guitars and the fret board looks like the landing deck of an aircraft carrier.
