The buckle motif as we know it today originated during the early Victorian era, when it was given as a token of endearment or worn as a mourning or memory ring, the latter often contained a small lock of the loved one's hair.
With the inspiration of this contexts comes the fifth piece of my 10th collection of buckle inspired jewelry. Some pieces are clean like the modernist movement and some pieces are Victorian to Art Nouveau inspired with etchings and designs.
This is the fifth piece, a pair of 14 kt gold vermeil over sterling silver buckle earrings...
The bucke on the earrings is 15mm's wide...
The earrings are 22mm's long...
Available polished like the first three pictures, antiqued, or satin (not shown) ... shown with the plain in the last two photos...
All Alberto Juan jewelry comes in a protective Velvet black bag also shown in some listings.
