18th Century Inspired Cherry Entertainment Center

I designed this piece to fill a need in my own family and based it on an 18th century chest on chest. Two mortise and tenon raised panel doors open to receive the television. A waist molding frames the piece which sits atop four drawers for storage of CDs etc.
Native Wisconsin cherry with it's beautiful coloring is used for primary wood and oak as secondary wood. Mortise and tenon joints are used throughout the case and dovetail joints are used for drawer construction. The piece is finished with crown molding and rests on bracket feet.
