18th-Century Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Secretary Desk Solid mahogany primary wood; secondary wood is poplar This desk is made of two cases stacked one on another and stands over 90" tall The lower drawer fronts are re-sawn from one board and book matched; also the drawers are lipped drawer fronts with hand cut dovetails and are all solid wood Goose neck crown molding Ogee bracket feet The gallery is made up of many drawers and compartments, some even hidden Upper doors are hand craved tombstone doors Both sides made from one board. This pieces the grain from the lower case to the upper case in one flowing manner The upper case has a gallery as well with adjustable shelves in the center Over all the piece is very detailed and has over 600 hours in it to completion
