Fused Glass Panel With Dichroic Glass Accents: Company Logo

For this project, the company wanted to have their logo created in stained glass. The project combined both glass fusing and traditional stained glass techniques to achieve the desired results.

I fired each of the individual pieces in my kiln. This allowed for a subtle background pattern, the inclusion of dichroic glass details on the surface, and was a means to keep the dog as a unified piece while maintaining the turquoise around the ear and the blue of the eye. Because the background color pieces were single layers, the glass contracted a bit creating a saturation of color around the edges which looked almost like quilting.

Once the pieces were all fired, they were assembled in a traditional stained glass manner. The pieces were ground to fit the cartoon, foiled and then the piece was soldered together. The window was then framed in zinc and sent to its new home in the company office.

Caron Art Class was fantastic during the production of our logo. We love it, and it's added both a fun and professional feel to our office. It expresses the kind of business that we are. Highly recommend CAG!
