Chest, Oxbow, 4 Drawers, Curly Cherry
A client from Europe wanted us to build a unique double bow front four drawer chest with a hidden compartment in the back which could store his silver dollar collection.
The specs were simple ..... to built it from curly cherry and not have glued up sides or top, ie, from a single board width.
The search for a spectacular curly cherry board 26 inches wide was extensive.
Finally one of our suppliers looked on the third floor of his barn and called.
He was in possession of two boules (sliced up log) and would sell us one boule. So we bought it.
The middle two boards measured 26+ inches wide!
From these two boards we built these two gorgeous pieces.
Unfortunately, the client could not take delivery of his chest due to family problems, so both are available for the right buyer.
