Abstract Art, Macro Photography As Window Display (Victorian Corbel, Paint Layers On Wood)

Yellow Brick Road, Archival Print, 2011 Look Studio

Yellow Brick Road is a piece completed for a boutique window display backdrop here in Colorado. The client, who sells fashion, accessories, gifts and home décor, needed something eye catching for her window that at the same time would complement, not overwhelm, the merchandise.

Consulting with her, I proposed macro photographs of a Victorian Corbel from my own collection of vintage and antique items. The corbel has many layers of paint on it creating visual interest. I modified colors on the original image to create a more neutral backdrop to emphasize the client's clothing.

Using photography as a functional room element, such as these banners, room dividers or window treatments are specialties I particularly enjoy.

Pricing is based on the three banners shown. My photography is also available in a variety of sizes, framed, as a gallery wrap or printed on canvas or photo paper. Please contact me for further information.
