Air Force Chapel Stained Glass

The largest stained glass commission I have completed to date is this U.S. Air Force chapel located at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado. This was 850 square feet of stained glass. The rectangular panels you see in these photos are 3' wide and 7' high.

Although I completed the stained glass single-handed, I hired two people to help with the installation. Said installation was greatly aided by the use of construction lifts since the highest stained glass panels were more than 35 feet off the ground.

The images of the stained glass look skewed because I am taking photos from the floor of the sanctuary and the bottom of the stained glass was 15 feet off the floor.

The third photo shows the architects rendering of the building with my design superimposed onto it. The last photo shows the outside of the west wall at night.
