This is one of three alien portraits made for a space-themed contest. Each alien portrait began as a drawing and was transformed into a beading chart. The glass seed beads were hand sewn using peyote stitch, an off-loom bead weaving technique, into a unique portrait. Colors can be adjusted (within the limits of available hues) to suit your desires. These contemporary artworks are an alternative to a traditional painted portrait.
