I was building a client who lives in Hawaii a nylon string guitar, and in our talks I had mentioned that, from time to time, I make these small "alto" guitars and how much fun I had with them. He asked if I would make him a Koa / Spruce left handed version for his son as a birthday present. I had enough extra Koa from the set to make a simple Koa rosette. It was one of the few left handed guitars I have made, so I made it in tandem with a regular "righty" just to keep the few (but important) differences clear. It was a great project and he and his son love it!
