The top of this dining table is made from 4 book matched boards of ambrosia maple. The unique patterning is caused by the ambrosia beetle which bores into the tree. The hole left lets air borne fungus to enter and interact with the wood causing the elongated stains. The legs are tapered walnut. The skirt is figured maple. The sides are curved (42" in the middle and 36" at the ends) and the ends are softly angled up. The dimensions are 80"x42"x30".
