This sturdy box comes apart to reveal twenty-four hollow blocks – one for each of the first twenty-four years of marriage. Each year, the happy couple will write a note about the year – favorite memories, special happenings – or choose something small to put in the box. A matchbook from a favorite restaurant, a special photograph, the new baby's tiny sock… they will fill the block with whatever memorializes the year. Then, they can slide the block back onto the dowels, replace the lid, and have a solid and beautiful storage chest. (In fact, the inside of the box can hold larger memorabilia.) On their silver anniversary, they'll be able to look through the evidence of their years together.
Made from solid oak. can be made with some reclaimed oak as well.
