These very cool retro 60's tables are based on the client's "Jax Starburst" coffee table and the end tables that were designed to go with them. They are a hybrid in that the legs are hand turned (the original end tables had "flat" legs) with brass caps, a signature mid-century accent. These tabletops are not veneered, they are 3/4 inch walnut on segmented Baltic birch plywood, which has been edge banded with 3/16 hand resawn walnut. The quality and material of these heirloom tables far exceeds the original factory products. The hand-sculpted risers are joined with two bolts/ threaded inserts and sit on 1/2 inch dowels. The legs are mounted at the desired angles by placing the mounts on hand fabricated cleats. The pictures do not do justice to these gems, which would grace any decor and in particular a mid-century or 60s modern aesthetic. These tables are built to the client's dimensions and desires. They can be modified for all dimensions, angles, leg thickness, leg style, etc.
