Antique Barn Board Pendant

The pit sawn beam from which this piece was taken, was taken out of a barn that was built in Maine around 1750. The barn was deconstructed by S. A. Burner Structural in Windham, ME.

It has been out in the elements for a while and has weathered nicely. The wood was dried in an oven and coated with a thin layer of poly to give it some sheen but still show all its beautiful character.

I cut the mountain range out of recycled silver and filed to its shaped and then riveted through the barn board. The corners were tube riveted to hold large jump rings. This necklace comes on the leather cord shown. I can change the cord color or get a sterling chain upon request.
