Antique Barn Wood Apron Table With Wine Racks

The wood from this project is more than 108 years old. It came from a barn northeast of Tecumseh, NE. The farmer who originally built the barn signed and dated it. (We offer an authenticity card that includes a picture of the barn before it was torn down along with the picture of the man's name and date.) The top and middle shelf were siding that was resurfaced in our wood shop and then we applied a couple of coats of spar urethane. We choose wood with unique character and leave as much of the signs of wear as possible, such as nail holes, or the deep crevasses you see on this piece. The apron that goes all the way around the piece is also made of barn siding, which was cleaned and then we added a couple of coats of spar urethane. This adds a bit of distinct texture to the piece. The legs are made of yellow pine and were original 2 X 4's from inside the barn structure. Again, we deliberately left signs of the nail holes, etc. The legs were also finished with a couple of coats of spar urethane. The table can be purchased already made for $325.00 USD, with wine racks attached or left loose for additional funds. Wine is not included. The piece measures 371/2" wide X 13 1/2" deep X 23" tall. This is truly a one of a kind piece.
