This was a joy to create. I started with those old ugly nail ridden beams. I then scanned and removed the nails one by one. Next step is to roll it on my sawmill. I saw the beam for the highest quality quarter sawn lumber, goes in the barn loft to season for a bit. After a few weeks up there I bring it down and start creating the mantel of your dreams. I have enough of this wood left to build a couple more of these...
