Antique Highchair Restoration

Historically accurate restoration of heirloom highchair. Research by jetwoodshop to determine age and history of original maker. Broken steam-bent back rail repaired with sawn and carved solid maple section scarfed-in to match original. Broken tray front replaced with solid Mahogany to match original; and unusual, carved solid Mahogany corner block at tray repaired with new solid Mahogany. New spindle for tray arm; all leg mortises and tenons cleaned and re-glued; and loose arm rest supports re-fastened with larger screws and re-plugged. New, redesigned bumper system for tray to eliminate cause of earlier damage to tray, seat, and legs. All finish matching and finish restoration by Robin Cady and Associates, Hillsboro, Oregon.
