These fanciful porcelain tiles are based on fairy tale illustrations by Walter Crane. Crane was was part of the Arts and Crafts movement. He produced paintings, illustrations, children's books, ceramic tiles and other decorative arts. The tiles shown include Pandora, based on an illustration for an 1893 edition of Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Wonderbook-for Girls and Boys: Gretel on Duck and Snow White are inspired by his illustrations in theHousehold Stories of the Brother Grimm, published in 1886; and Riding Hood picking Flowers is based on an illustration in his Little Red Riding Hood published in 1885.
Dimensions: The tiles shown are approximately 4 x 4" square and 3/8" to 1/2" thick. They are sized to fit with a wide variety of field tile. Please contact me with any questions.
