The germinating seed for this project was a vintage arts and crafts bookcase, (first picture) made out of white oak, which the client already had in her office. Starting from there, I designed and built an office suite that would incorporate and blend with that bookcase. The suite included a corner cabinet with doors that were inspired by those on the bookcase, a work station to be mounted underneath the cabinet, and an L-shaped desk for the opposite wall.
Details on the desk include pop-out panels along the back edges, and in the back corner, for cord management, and movable dividers in the drawers (mounted in grooves in the drawer sides) to help keep the contents divided organized. There's also a pop-out panel on the corner workstation.
