When we design & build kitchen cabinets into Arts & Crafts, we blend; smooth flat right angle lines with soft, simple curved arches in selected areas of interest. Including of course, the glass architectural doors with numerous square & rectangular glass panes individually bordered by wood frames. The geometry, symmetry & balance is the signature of Arts & Crafts styling! Full-over door & matching drawer front panels are a full 1" net thickness & stiles & rails (perimeter frames) are a full 3" wide premium. Our panels are made from solid cherry wood staves, a premium look. This is almost subliminal. Plywood was not available in the original Arts & Crafts era. Plywood is to generic to use in flat board panels! Altogether this stablizes and alines very true & accurate surfaces throughout. Developing the appropriate interior space in your home is also very important in utilizing the same styling as if one 'Artist-Craftsman' had accomplished the Art & Craft combined as one thought-out plan in one project! It may include or extend into a dining room or living room. We also design & build themed wood range hoods, glass or wood paneled passage doors complete with matching door headers, jambs & casings, and wall paneling (wainscot). Altogether with the same finish, this adds the charm to this styling! Wood: American Cherry, grade: clear red heart, no sap (yellow grey) wood. Finish: cherry stain; nutmeg, hand rubbed finish, satin sheen varnish top-coats, to furniture grade. Granite counter tops; shows a laminated square, softened edge detail & surface sheen was brought to a natural healthy level for that stone. Note: Arts & Crafts also becomes a 'classic' when utilizing 'quarter sawn' white oak also known as 'rift rotory' white oak, a special ordered cut from the mill, revered for use in, Traditional Country, European & 18th' & 19th' century antique furniture. Finishes with medium stain & glaze, including to top-off with custom matching finished square door & drawer knobs.
