Recently a very good friend asked me to create an ash table that was to be customized for her kitchen. After reviewing her design sketch and taking measurements of her kitchen, we proceeded with other details, i.e. table top length and width, base measurements to allow for six chairs to fit comfortably when people are seated for a meal, etc. Table height is 33 inches, table length is six feet and table width is 42 inches.

Ash wood was chosen, which was ultimately finished with a light pickled white stain, a coat of sanding sealer, which brings out the grain and seals the pores of the wood and finalized with two coats of spar varnish. This creates a long lasting water proof finish that is easy to maintain. The ash that was chosen was "select" (furniture quality) and without knots. The color choice was not identical to the six chairs but coordinates with the finish on them.

This style is contemporary and has a classic look. Modifications can be made on wood type, stain color or natural, height, width and length. Shipping cost will vary, depending to which area of the country or world it would be shipped. Chairs are not included in this project. Another person or company would need to be used to purchase chairs. Another wood type can also be chosen.
