Ash Window Cornice

I was asked to design a contemporary cornice with clean lines, easy to hang, made of wood that would show the beautiful grain, when painted. This ash cornice measures 3 and 3/4 inches wide by 3/4 inch thick. The edge is routed with a cove bit, which provides for simplified style.

Drilling a hole and inserting a construction grade screw into the wall makes hanging the cornice an easy process. There is a key hole slot (routed) on the back side of the left and right side braces, which attaches @ one inch beyond the wall (window sheet rock) on each side of the window.

This cornice has six coats of white paint, to match the clients woodwork throughout the house. Other wood types can be chosen and the wood may be left natural or stained as well.

Cost of cornices is $15.00 per foot, with a minimum cornice length of two feet and a minimum order of five cornices. For lengths of more than five feet, a center bracket will be attached, to provide for proper middle cornice support, with the exception of a half window, as pictured, where there is nothing to attach a center brace to. Shipping charges are extra and will vary, depending upon the final destination.
