Asian Cabinet

From the graceful curve of the ebonized legs, to the lines of the Zebrawood doors, this cabinet bespeaks elegance.

The long slender legs form a single line with the vertical trim of the cabinet, yet at the same time, form a break that gives the cabinet the sense of floating above the base. The handles, meant to mimic Chinese lacing, and the split apron give it its Asian feel, while the slightly curved front give it a dash of the contemporary.

The Zebrawood doors are the highlight of this peice. Either side of each door is a mirror image of the other, and, at the same time, the doors are again mirror images of each other. The slightly hourglass path of the Zebrawood grain lends a more famine feel to an otherwise masculine looking wood.

The cabinet hardware features extruded (solid) brass knife hinges, and custom made Lignum Vitae door stops.

The Zebrawood doors and the ebonized base and trim are complemented by the Eastern Black Walnut panels of the cabinet, complimenting the darker browns and emphasizing the lighter tans of the Zebrawood.
