Asian Influenced Ladder Shelf

I have always liked the idea of a ladder shelf, but always find the triangular style rather prosaic. Instead, I came up with a more Contemporary design with Asian influences. The graceful curve of the legs rise on a course that would meet the rear legs at the top like an ordinary ladder shelf, but then instead curve back forward, leaving the top of the shelf open.
This rendition of this shelf uses simple shelves with Wenge' Katakana inlay in the front right corner of each shelf. I can also imagine many other variations of this shelf, perhaps as a wine rack that accommodates a favorite set of wine classes in addition to bottles of wine. I also can imagine a version intended for use in a bathroom with towel racks.
