The cabinet is framed with logs from standing dead aspen trees. The trees are chosen for their color and markings; the bark has already been removed by weather and time. The colors range from a pale bone, to pale orange, browns and greasy. The members are joined using a 2" tenon cutters. The cabinets doors are made from recycled wood, with stain for coloring. The hinges' vertical members are aspen logs set with loose-fit 1" tenons; the horizontal hinge bars are pine branches. The face boards on the drawers and on the area below the counter burners are twigs from a miscellany of woods gathered in Colorado and Utah.
