Like almost all of my work, I prefer not to disclose my direct thoughts on what the piece is 'about'. I would like the viewer to make their own story and come to their own conclusions. These smaller pieces grab the attention of not only a smaller wall, but also a large space. I created a balance in an imperfect way. I wanted it to feel mechanical, yet of the hand, not machine. When I say balance, I not only mean in weight but in other aspects- life, excess, restraint.
The edges are finished with paint, I chose 'my' white, to set the dark front off.
