Barnsley Hayrake Table

I made this dining room table with no constraints, except to create something beautiful. I made the table out of quarter-sawn oak beams recycled from an old army base. The table corresponded with a show about sustainability and recycling that inspired me to cast a single member out of bronze, the most common recycled material on the planet at the time. The other reason for casting this member in bronze was to offset the checks and knots scattered throughout the boards.

The design inspiration came from the Sidney Barnsley Hayrake Table that was designed and produced in the early 20th century in England.
