His "night stand" made of locally harvested white oak from my own property. Very unusal color and figure for white oak but I am conviced that it was. This piece I dyed with an antque maple blend recipe provided by my client, then a wash coat of shellac, and then I used a black glaze overwhich I applied 5 coats of garnet (flakes) shellac. The pulls are handmade by me and the pegs are real ebony.
