Made from solid cherry, these bedside tables were constructed to last a life time. The drawers were constructed by using dovetail joinery, and they glide effortlessly on ball bearing, full extension drawer slides.
The bedside tables were finished with a 50/50 mixture of Danish wood oil and a satin polyurethane.
Dimensions: Approximately 18" wide x 16" deep x 24" tall.

I purchased a very nice solid cherry “Sunrise” bed bed frame in 2010 from a company that went out of business. The frame was stand alone and did not come with any other pieces. I wanted matching night stands for this frame. After a long search for something close to the quality and style of this bed frame I had almost given up. That is when I found the CustomeMade.com website and sent quote requests to several woodworkers. Quickly, I received several replies. Steve seemed the best option for several reasons: his experience (many years teaching woodworking), his proximity to where I live (which does not matter to many but made it easier for me), the tone and demeanor of his correspondence (clear and consistent communication as well as willingness to answer expeditiously even the smallest of questions) and finally the price (which was very reasonable). Most retail stores and manufacturers do not offer more than two of these four requirements and especially not for such a high quality piece of woodwork.
I was specific in the size, style and finish because of the existing bed frame. Steve worked with me to ease any concerns by sending samples so I could match the finish of my bed, emailing drawings for approval prior to construction, modifying the standard to include a solid hardwood back and side panels and reworking the cabinet front and leg style mid-project to ensure the table legs coordinated with my bed.
The final product is amazing. I am very happy with what he fashioned and will value these night stands for years to come. Steve did an exceptional job capturing subtle designs in my bed and reflecting them in the final piece. He was professional, timely and it was a pleasure working with him on this project.
