This meticulously restored stained glass panel is installed in a new mahogany wood frame. Fabricated in 1890, the panel still has its original functioning ventilator located in the top portion. Mainly comprised of gold hammered glass and clear glue chip glass, the green stained glass of the leaves and the purple stained glass of the flower add distinctive highlights to the panel. The flower was hand painted and kiln fired, enhancing the stained glass panel even further.
As part of the restoration process, we carefully disassembled the entire stained glass panel and reassembled it using all new German lead came. We matched any broken glass in color, texture, and type. Lastly, we unobtrusively attached stainless steel bars to the panel using copper ties in the original locations to provide long-term structural support.
Full restoration was performed on two identical panels. The pricing of $1,400 is for one, and we would be happy to sell the panels individually or as a pair.
Dimensions: The glass panel itself is 15" x 54-1/4". When the frame is included, the overall measurement is 20-1/2" x 61".
