This magazine rack is inspired by a similar one found in a vintage shop years ago that regrettably went un-purchased. It's been quite a few years since setting eyes on the original, and various searches have come up empty for pictures of the tray or the name of the original designer.
So we've done our best to honor the original design while also drawing inspiration from our favorite source - nature. Specifically, the leaves of the beautiful aspen trees that we see while hiking through pristine northern Michigan forests. The Aspen Magazine Rack's sweeping profile is a perfect addition to any mid-century modern lover's coffee table - as a tray holding various trinkets and treasures or keeping your favorite magazines in order.
The Aspen Magazine Rack features hand-layered bent plywood with real wood veneer. It's hand sanded and finished with polyurethane for a durable finish. Includes 3 cork feet on the bottom.
We offer three different wood varieties:
Walnut is a deep, warm brown with varying black and tan grain that adds a bit of sophisticated warmth to any room.
Oak is a medium-brown wood that features beautiful grain variation with subtle curves that make for a very interesting rack.
Birch is gorgeously simple with a light, neutral color overall and a subtle, yet interesting grain.
Tray measures 5" tall, 9.5" wide and 18" long.
Made to order in 1-3 weeks.
