Big Bad Wax Encaustic Sculpture Project To Include Bones And Found Items
This will be my first venture into encaustic medium. I have very little experience with wax, and I have no supplies related to encaustic work. I have been collecting bones for some time, with this project in mind. I will be erecting a creature with skeletal remains and wire. Once my creature has been formed, I will bring it to life with wax. I plan on this sculpture to be fairly large, perhaps the size of a large dog. I will update this project with more pictures once I start planning the actual shape of the form. I have an assortment of bones ranging from monkey to giraffe, cow, deer, rattlesnake, turtle...etc. Feathers may or may not be an element in this piece.
