this was a great experience - we needed a table for our new apartment and had to fit a specific space - we checked out restoration hardware etc but could not find anything, we found gene through custom made and had a great design dialogue using the website. the responsiveness, and attention to the process was very good. he helped us customize it to fit our space and decor, once the table was finished he delivered and set it up at a time to suit us and we are very happy with the finished product - simply excellent.
this is a great bistro table that i made out of and old cast iron manhole cover from 1915 , i cleaned all of the tar off of it and wire wheeled it down to metal then applied two coats of black past wax to it , the base is also cast iron i just cleaned it up a bit , it can be painted if you like, it is very heavy but will be a head turner for your friends .the diameter is 26in , i am going to get glass for top when it is sold
